With Pretty Elf Boys.....

.... the end of the year couldn't be sweeter.

I just got back in the door from watching The Two Towers. And despite the fact the movie is one minute longer than the first film, bringing one minute short of a solid three hours, I am quite happy.

I went to see it with fading_eclipse, which is always amusing. But we got there early and started talking Harry Potter and anime shop. Two guys in front of us turned around looking mildly amused and asked us if we had even seen the first film or ever even read the books. Ha! Foolish men.

I definitely recommend going to see the movie. Jackson is now past most of the character development and now the shit really starts to hit the fan.

And on a shallower note. How is it that Legolas is even more gorgeous in the second movie... And the moment between Legolas and Aragorn:

Legolas: You're late.
Aragorn: ::smiles::
Legolas: And you look awful.

Well off to bed to dream of pretty blond elven boys.

Could Legolas be any more in love with Aragorn? Even my anti-slash friends agreed on that point! And I thought for sure Frodo and Sam were gonna end the movie with a liplock, the way they were gazing into each other's eyes... ROFL

(Hated what Jackson did with Faramir, though. Hated it. It almost ruined the movie for me... >_<)

I'm still on my Legolas induced high. I've been wandering around work grinning like a moron all day.

The friend that I went with hadn't read the books or seen the first movie, but she was making the same comments about Aragorn and Legolas, and Frodo and Sam... when she wasn't whistling at Aragorn. ::snicker::

As far as Faramir, I was a upset about that too, but considering how much information and the sheer number of characters in the books, I'm willing to let that screw up slide for the moment.

I'm starting to think though that Jackson's using Legolas to distract me. ^_-
