Mermaid series


Just by air (blue/pink/green and blonde) mermaid's bum. Pearl Kreinik #4 is the odd reflective bits.

The mermaids has reminded me why I HATE working with Kreinik thread, even though it looks super awsome and sparkly.

I had hit a book phase and I could barely drag my nose out of a book for weeks. ^__^ Then I realized I hadn't posted an update either. Ooops

Nice work! I love Teresa Wentzler's designs but hate her apparent fascination with Kreinik thread. The breaking, the shredding... ugh! But I do like the resulting effect.

She does have a weird obsession with kreinik. Another piece (http://www.kikotei.net/fun/angelofgrace.htm) I did years ago had gold kreinik and that was my first time working with it. Needless to say there were a few... umm... temper tantrums...

Apparently DMC's got some new metallics, but I haven't had a chance to play with them yet. If only I hadn't been a doofus and decided to try this on 28ct. ^_^;;;
