Late! But I have an excuse! It's a good one too. I decided to go through my DVDs and clean and ORGANIZE! I still have a ways to go, but considering the total number of discs I think I did pretty well. I may post pictures of my efforts later.

Date: 2009-01-27 03:12 am (UTC)Designs on plastic canvas tend to be a bit blurry to start with because of the size per inch. This fabric I'm currently working with is a 22 count aida, so I get 22 stitches per square inch. Itty bitty, but because I'm working a fabric rather than plastic, it's easier to get more detail into the piece.
I haven't worked with canvas in more than 20 years, so I'm not terribly familiar with it anymore. I'd recommend if you want more detail work the design for a larger number mesh, like a 14. That should get you some fairly decent detail. You still won't get the level of detail that aida or evenweave can give you though. I'd also recommend working with less detailed pictures, pictures of chibis and the like.
