another day off WASTED

I think the only thing I've managed to actually finish today was reading Prince of Tennis 19 and Godchild 5. I also fail at FF12 today. My rhythm is still off from vacation, I got so swatted by the critter I was hunting.

I also fail at writing. I'm just staring at the page and nothing is coming out of my fingers. I know what I want to happen, I just can't seem to convince my fingers to interpret the brain waves.

You're probably pushing it too hard. Try to do something to relax yourself and then try hitting up the writing. Usually I have to let go of concentrating to get anything to happen.

I may just wait until bedtime. For some reason I seem to get more done with pen and paper and my head buried in a stack of pillows. ::shrugs::

1) Because I remembered how much I loved what you posted to the DHML, I totally happy-spazzed when I found your LJ.

2)Karma Slave would be the song. And for movie, Cat from Outer Space keeps jumping in, so we'll go with some classic Disney.

3)Your Rose and Freesia archive made me fan of Aya/Omi.

4)Reading some of your first fic postings to the DHML and being completely and utterly impressed.

5)Kamui. That's how I usually spot you on LJ. ^_^

6)Where do you get some of your fic ideas? I've often been like 'duh, that was fabulous, how did I miss that idea?'.

7)The Ashura one. I have such a soft spot for Ashura lately.

I usually find myself struck with the burning desire to write when I'm on walks and it's not feasible. I've had whole plotlines, let alone scenes hit me that way.

1.) I spazzed happy when you friended me. XD XD I think I actually bounced the bed when I realized who it was.

6.) Honestly, I never think my fic ideas are that impressive. They seem fairly obvious to me when I'm writing them so I spend half the fic going "Yeah, people are going to be all...this is so predictable." I read constantly so that helps, I think. My mind is constantly going and I tend to just latch onto random images or a phrase will occur to me and I build around it.

To be really and truly honest, a lot of the time I start off a fic as free writing and get the plot shortly thereafter. Amet is different; she gets her plot down first and then she writes but for some reason that doesn't work as well for me. I think because I find opening scenes a pain. Once I get past the first few paragraphs, I usually have an idea of where the story is going.

7.) Same here. I really do love RG Veda; it's a gorgeous, under appreciated work and unless I miss my guess, gives some clue as to how X is going to end. XD;

Weee, late as always, but this work week kicked my butt.

1 - Because I remember reading what you had posted to the DHML, and just had to friend you. ^_^
2 - Yami no Matsuei actually. I always feel a need to reread your 'sleep to dream' series when YnM comes up.

1. Ah, that. We're toying with the idea of rewriting that one, ironically.
3. That makes me really happy to hear. ^_^
5. That man was so much fun to play with.
6. Honestly? No idea. I daydream to keep myself awake on the way to work (and pretty much everywhere else I'm sitting quietly) and somehow I end up with entire universes of stories in my head. I only write fast enough to barely scratch the surface of any of them with actual writing, which is frustrating as hell.
7. Ha! I love that one too. Most of the icons of mine I love the most are the ones I didn't actually make. XD
