kikoteiI just spent the last 6 hours or so painting. I'm mostly done with my sections, I just have one wall that I have to retouch. But I think that will have to wait until after Thanksgiving.
Most of the work today went into repainting the railing up the stairs. Who ever painted it last used a really shitty paint, within a few months of moving in all those years ago the white railing started to get filthy. No matter how much we washed it, we could never get it clean. So I spent hours painting each spoke and the rails. It is now a *crisp* semi-gloss white. Mom even said that if she didn't know better, she would have thought it was a brand new rail. I still have one coat to go on the lower rail (that's how bad it was), and then my brother and I are pondering a clear coat of some kind to further protect it.
So now I'm paying for that time bent over the railing.
