I so caved

And bought myself a PS2 tonight. I'd been debating on it since the weekend before Easter, but opted to wait and think about it some more. My brother is graduating from school in about 2 weeks, so I figure that unless he gets that job at Sikorsky (and maybe not even then) he may likely be moving out of the house soon. Making PS2 pilfering much harder.

I caved this afternoon and stopped at Best Buy on my way home from helping mom buy a wedding gift for a family friend (which I wasn't invited to the wedding or the shower, but then again I haven't seen her since I was like 10). Unfortunately the only ones they had in all the stores were slim ones. I wanted the old standard size like my brother's, but you take what you can get. The only thing I forgot that wasn't included with the unit was a memory card. Oh well. I guess I'll swing over to the KMart in town and pick up an 8mb card tomorrow.

I also picked up KH while I was out. Maybe now I can actually finish the game myself. ^__^;;;

Kinda figured that's where you've wandered off to the last couple of weeks. Also goes a long way to explain that blank text message I got from you on my cell. ^_^;;

I didn't have a memory card last night so I couldn't start KH, but I ran the opening anyway.... ::droool:: It looks ever so much better on my nice new TV than on my brother's.

I got about as far as Pride Rock before the long weekend ended and my brother took KH2 and his PS2 back to school with him. I was hoping to get the Tron world, but no such luck. Pooh. The Drive system and the situation specific moves (I forget what the game calls them) that pop up on the triange button are fabulous editions. There was much lusting after older!Sora.

I'm going to try my hardest to wait until it rolls over to the 'Greatest Hits' collection (crosses fingers that it will happen before the end of summer) and the price drops to $20.
