Sep. 30th, 2005 10:17 amI'm thinking I should have called out today. I've got a doozy of a headache, mostly from staying up too late. Was kinda necessary though, stayed up watching Naruto to distract myself from thinking to hard. The old brain was cycling too hard. So I exhausted myself watching the last eight or so episodes of the Chuunin exam and finally passed out at about 3:30-4am.
But in the end I'm too stricken by my effin' puritanical work ethic. I'm not dying, just uncomfortable. I can still go to work. Damn it.
Now I need advil and more caffeine.

Date: 2005-09-30 04:56 pm (UTC)The end of the Chuunin exam was sad, but didn't make me nearly as weepy as the end of the arc with Haku. Might have been just my attitude last night, but the funeral felt very heavy handed.

Don’t worry, there are more sniffle worthy stories to come… ;)

I'm finding as I watch more that I like Shikamaru more than when he was first really introduced at the beginning of the Chuunin exam. At first I was kinda so-so on him. And then in the third exam something just clicked. It's taking time, but all the minor characters are growing on me just as much as Team Seven.
