Well, [livejournal.com profile] genkisakka. Your jacket is done. ::grins::

Edward Elric:
-Flamel. Hand painted. A bit lopsided, the cross is a bit long on one side, but considering my lack of free-hand skills, I think it came out pretty good. Side by side with the DVD tin for comparison.
-Jacket. Redid the slit up the back and shortened the bottom by about 4 inches. That should bring it to the back of your knees Sakka, or close at any rate.

Sanzou:
-Armor. Plates all glued into place. The epoxy kicked my ass hard.
-
Armor. This is not the most up to date picture, the frame has been trimmed and painted gold.

And on the side, look what I found in my backyard this afternoon. ::sigh::

Random cow..... O.o;;;;

Costume stuff looks fantastic, hon. ^.^ What is Ed's coat made of? From the second picture, it looks almost like red velvet.

Very random cow, but not unheard of. Before I left for work this afternoon we had three. A family one street over owns about 17 for things like 4H shows. Their last pasture runs right along-side our house.

It does look a bit like velvet, doesn't it. And it's just as touchable. It's a stretchy material I found in the leotard stack at the fabric store.

Next weekend, I promise! ^__^ Or before that if Sakka-chan, V. and I decide to play fangirl dress-up before the con.

Yeah, the cow was hysterical. Went out on the porch to get a drink and found her there. Had three of them at one point. Just happily grazing away.

*laughs* That's what happens when you live next to cows. Apparently your grass was yummier than their grass *Teehee*

Nice costumes. *claps*

Send me a pic of you in the Sanzou one since I won't see it

COW! Also, I envy your cosplay skills. My attempts at it are usually very last minute and ghetto fabulous. XD

Hee! I do the same thing. I'm around cows all the time, but I always have to yell cow! when I see one.

And thanks ^__^ Although, in my own opinion, I would do better if I started earlier in the year, rather than waiting until the last minute to do mine. Procrastination at it's best. ::snicker::

Maybe you'll see them when you get here. Maybe not though, usually by evening they've gone back to the barn.

See you in a few hours. ::antsy to get the day over with::

Oh, we may have to do a little shopping before the con. I can't find the earrings for my Sai costume. I know I took them out of my jewelry box last week, but where they went from there is a complete mystery. Guess I shouldn't have cleaned. I just need to hit up a place that sells teeny jewelry, like Claire's.

They're really very docile. I walked within a foot of the head of one of the cows. She just gave me a mildly cross look that I was interrupting her lunch and went back to eating.

They tore up the yard a bit when the owners tried to herd them back to the gate, but other than that they did a nice job mowing the lawn. Ha!
