Partial Site Update
Jun. 25th, 2004 08:44 pmI've updated and redesigned the DHML archive portion of my website. So check out the new look.
Also the DHML will be turning 5 years old this fall (yay!). Starting this summer until November of 2005 the DHML will be running an Anniversary Challenge. Submissions of art and fanfiction relating to Duo and Heero celebrating an anniversary will be posted on the site. The Anniversary must be related to the number 5 or any multiple of 5, except 1. So 5, 10, 15 etc are acceptable.
Now to crash. ^__^

Date: 2004-06-26 09:02 am (UTC)Saw your post on dhml and have been exploring, which explains how I ended up here, ne ^_~?! I really like the new look and I love the quote from FMA. Plus the challenge is a great idea, as I am sure that we will get lots of lovely Duo/Heero treats over the coming year in response to it ^_________^!

Date: 2004-06-26 09:23 am (UTC)And I'm such an FMA geek right now. I don't think I've ever watched a series that had me laughing when I watched it by myself. I rarely laugh at something when I watch TV by myself. I was laughing so hard I nearly fell off my bed.
I hope the challenge gets responses, I don't think I've seen anniversaries as a challenge before.

Date: 2004-06-26 09:35 am (UTC)I love it too! Unfortunately I only managed to get the first twenty episodes downloaded before they announced the licensing of it so now I'll have to wait for the dvds, I can't wait to see the end! Ed and Al's relationship is just so sweet and I love how Ed explodes every time someone refers to his height. My favourite character is Roy though, he is great... stoic most of the time and then sometimes he just acts so out of character that it is hysterical *laughs*!
I love your icon... do you like Yu-Gi-Oh! too??
Edited because I really should read my comments before posting to make sure they make sense >.<;;!

Date: 2004-06-26 09:49 am (UTC)Yep, definately a YGO fan. I actually got into it through the pilot season which bombed miserably. Which is a shame because I loved the voices from the original season. Yugi was voiced by the same woman who does Kurama and Kaiba was voiced by Heero's seiyuu. XD With Megumi Ogata voicing Yugi and Yami, her Yami voice is possitively spine tinglingly sexy.
So yeah, I got into the series maybe a year before the US release started airing.

Date: 2004-06-26 10:28 am (UTC)Ooh, I have been meaning to download the manga, so it is every bit as good as the anime then??
Yep, definately a YGO fan.
Me too! Although I am very jealous because I have only ever seen the English dub and would love to see the original Japanese version ^_^! Megumi Ogata, didn't she do Shinji in Evangelion? *nods* Yes, she does have a great voice and Hikaru Midorikawa is Kaiba, cool!
Mind you, I do love Dan Green as Yami Yugi/Yugi...

Date: 2004-06-26 10:40 am (UTC)The anime doesn't follow the manga as closely as other series, but both are excellent in their own right.
didn't she do Shinji in Evangelion?
Yep, yep she did. Dan Green is good, but I have a soft place in my heart (or is that my head) for both Megumi Ogata for her first rendition of Yami and Yugi and Kazama Shunsuke who does the voice in the newer series.

Date: 2004-06-26 11:26 am (UTC)I do most often prefer the Japanese voices to the English ones but the main exception to this rule is Steven Blum as Spike Spiegel in Cowboy Bebop. His voice really defines Spike for me and consequently, I have never actually watched a whole episode in Japanese because somehow it feels all wrong!
Do you speak Japanese *is curious*??

Date: 2004-06-26 11:35 am (UTC)Not really. I know a little. I can understand simple conversations and if I have my dictionaries with me I can translate fairly well.
I've tried on and off to translate some of the stranger manga I've picked up, but I really need to take structured lessons first. When I have free time I try to translate track titles on my CDs.

Date: 2004-06-28 01:55 pm (UTC)That sounds pretty good to me! I would like to learn myself; trouble is, it is making time >.<;;!
Just read your other entries, I hope your knee is feeling better now *hugs*! Right, I will stop stalking your LJ now, I promise ^_~!
