The car is fixed. Yays! It took about a half hour and two lost sockets, but I once again have a working car.

Also, I FINALLY got a hair cut today. Just for reference, I think the last time I got it cut was March, maybe April. It was getting quite long. Well, I wore my Wild Adapter shirt in, which gave my hairdresser ideas. And I was foolish enough to tell her 'go for it'. So boring, plain-jane me, now has a very rock inspired do. ^___^

Next up, new glasses. >_<

Ooh, I like your new hair (I've just been having a look at the pics you showed [livejournal.com profile] silvertales ^_^! But you have a Wild Adapter shirt?! I love that manga! Who is on the shirt, do you have any photos?

Thanks. ^_^

I do indeed have a WA shirt. I saw it a couple of Otakons ago, squeed like a 15 year old, and HAD to buy it even if I wasn't sure if it would fit me. I love the manga too, I wish there was more merchanise for the series, but I do have a couple of CDs (the KuboxToki album and the drama for manga vol. 5) and the Sugarcoat artbook.

For you I took a picture. ^_^ It's a pissy looking Kubo-chan (http://www.kikotei.net/temp/pictures 0011.jpg) on the shirt. The back says 'Wild Adapter : Hard Boiled Action'.

I'm so bad at linking things this weekend. It should be here (http://kikotei.net/temp/pictures%20011.jpg).

Thanks, hun, but I'd already found the link in your folder directory ^_~!

That is a gorgeous shirt! I don't really know that much about WA, I've got the first two volumes of the manga from TokyoPop but as to how long it is and whether it is still being written etc. I have no idea ^^;!

My link-fu sucks. ^_^

It's up to volume 5 as of 2006. I'm not sure when 6 is due out as Minekura has been quite ill as I understand it. She was at one point releasing a chapter every other month. Which would put the books out about every year to year and a half.

You'll love volume 3. One of the *best* for slashy moments, Minekura knows how to please fangirls. 4 has one of the best endings and 5 is flashback goodness.

Oh, I hope it is nothing serious. Mangakas always give me the impression that they work under tight deadlines, which must be very stressful and make it hard to take care of yourself :-( !

^__________^ I can't wait!

She's home from the hospital as I understand it, but I think the doctor told her to lay off on the wicked deadlines until she's healed up.

Yeah, I know a number of mangaka have either died or taken seriously ill while working on series. I feel bad for the ones that have to meet weekly deadlines for magazines like Jump.

Thank you! And considering that just a few years ago I literally had Duo hair this is a massive change for me.

I've been pondering growing it back out again for the last month or so. I kinda miss my braid... ;_;

Also just saw the post with yours and Sephy's new cuts. Looking cute!

I had hair down to my hips for years before I decided that maybe I'd like to be able to straighten it occasionally without killing myself and cut it way shorter. And I ended up having a huge discussion with the hairdresser this time about how she'd finally cut her hair from hip-length to chin-length on a whim. Medieval hair is nice, but I think we all just get tired of taking care of it sometimes. XD

Yeah, the not having to kill yourself to get your hair done is a big issue. ^_^ Though I did get my braiding time down to about ten minutes in the morning.

I wound up seeing the hair dresser after sitting on my braid one too many times. Had her cut off 22 inches to make it shoulder length. And it just keeps getting shorter.

I don't miss the time it took to wash it every morning or the insane weight of it (the hairdresser had to give me extra time when I go in) but I do miss the ability to smack people with it and claim I didn't do it on purpose.
