Color me pleasantly shocked
Apr. 9th, 2006 05:21 pmThe 'rents and I swung over to Ikea this afternoon. It's been there for at least a couple of years, and we've never been. I think mostly because of Mom's mistaken idea that the furniture would be too modern for her.
And we were very pleasantly shocked at the store. There are som nice peices that fit both mom and my styles and we got some really good ideas for what do with the kitchen. And it would definately fit in the price ranges mom set.
I even found an entertainment center/bookcase set that would probably run about $500 or least depending on which and how many parts I buy. There was some definate bookcase lust going on there.
I didn't buy anything, other than a set of new pillows. Now instead of the flat stack that only took up a foot, they practically go halfway down the bed. ::grins::
We're sooo going back when we actually have time to shop and poke our noses in everything.
