Very Bleary

kikoteiOr something to that effect, I was up way earlier than normal for a Saturday. Plus I think I may be coming down with something. My throat was very sore this morning, more than usual anyway.
I'm highly annoyed with myself right now. I gave up my one day off a week to come into work, to cover somebody else's behind. Gah! I hate seven hour Saturday shifts.
And there's no guarantee that I'll even get paid for today! I stand a 50/50 chance of getting comp-time to getting paid. And I need more comp-time like I need another whole in my head. I don't even use what I have, much less use any vacation time I have. Everytime I try to take a day off here or there, there are already too many people out, so I have to stay. >_<

Maybe I'll get some writing done, as my boss gave me covert permission to do whatever it was that I was intending to do today.
