X-Stitch Sunday and Con-sorta-report

So another Sunday is here and mostly gone (and wasted again) ;_; Thankfully  I have tomorrow off for Columbus day, even if I do have to take pipsqueak Nell for a doctor visit. ^_^;;;

Anyway! I finished a new bookmark this week! I was planning on working either on the drive forms or the GW one, but I wanted to have something prepped I could work on for the train ride into NYC this weekend.

I also went to New York Comic Con on Saturday. I went with a co-worker. Which was interesting as her taste in things is WAY different in mine, she had never been to a fan con like this (only to professional ones), and I so had to sensor the brain/mouth connections from saying something fangirly. Something that would be totally amusing had I been hanging out with any of the usually suspects.  ^___^;;

Anway the con was crowded as hell! I went in 2006 when they only had part of the Javits. This time they had the whole thing and there were way, way too many people in there. If you ever thought Otakon was bad for space and crowd control, let's just say that at NYCC you got to know the people all around you *really* well. However there were some fun moments, I sadly missed meeting some of the famous peeps there, but I did raid the Squeenix merch booth for some fun (if dorky) KH and FF stuff.

Reading your con report makes me glad I didn't go. I went last year, and once was enough for me. There just wasn't enough programming.

It was pretty much the same. And if you wanted to see any programming you had to leave yourself at least a half hour to get to the room, much less out of the dealers room.

Awwww I so wish I'd been there to fangirl with you! But I am plotting a return to NYC in early November, if I can find a cheap enough flight. Will keep you posted. ^_^v

It was insanely crowded, to the point of frustration and being exhausting just trying to walk two aisles. I'll keep my fingers crossed. We need some fangirling.

^___^ Thanks. I needed something to start on the train to NYC. And seeing as I was heading to comic con it only seemed appropriate.

I'm almost done with the first omamori. I even learned how to tie one of the decorative knots for it.
