WTF! Continuity errors abound
Jun. 9th, 2004 02:59 pmI've noticed over the last couple of years, and even more so in the 6 to 12 months, that directors and their peons are paying less and less attention to details and continuity.
Ages and ages ago I used to be a film major. I was going pack myself off to California and work as an Assitant Director or whatever I could get. Something detail orientated. I done it on a number of low budget (extremely low) projects through my high school TV studio. So over the years I had trained myself to be able to keep track of little details.
The last few films I've gone to see have more continuity errors than I've seen in many years. Hell, even Lord of the Rings fell victim to continuity problems.
Here are some of the recent ones I've seen that had wicked errors that just grated on my nerves. Some spoilers may be here. Most of these films have been out for a while.
( Continuity Strikes Again )
Those are the ones off the top of my head. I know quite a number of others.
