It was a very interesting morning. I worked with the director of our Board of Directors. And the director was *my* assistant.

Freaky.

As we're in the middle of a massive building project (we're hauling ass out of the current building and making ourselves a new one) the supervisors from all the departments of our building had to sit down to finalize a lot of the plans for how things will look in the new building. Right down to where the chairs go. This needed to get done. The groundbreaking is supposed to be sometime this month from what I know. So all the supervisors are poking floor plans and a couple of members of the Board of Directors offered to come in and help where it was needed. And as I had a program to run this morning I needed some one to monitor my room while I was with the kids.

I was really nervous about working with her. Turns out I shouldn't have been nervous. She was great fun to work with, and she really enjoyed and seemed interested in the projects I had for her to work on while she monitored the room. If that ever came up again I would certainly like working with her again. ^_^

And then when I got to class later in the afternoon, I was early, so I plopped in my usually corner and whipped out a cross-stitch project that I've worked on every few months for the last couple of years. It's a huge monstrous thing, it's gonna take a while. Anyway, I'm sitting there, stitching away when the teacher comes up to talk to me about the essay she assigned over break (which I did :P) when she catches sight of my project and is suitably impressed.

I love blowing peoples minds like that. Techno-geek turns out to have a domestic side. ::cackles::
