Tired like woah

12 hour work days are no fun. Nope, not one bit. And I'm not even getting paid for the last 3 1/2 hours of it. Pooh. 

I'm getting comp time for it, which is basically vacation time that doesn't expire (until someone whines that you've accrued too much), but we're so chronically short staffed that I can't take time off. Even when I'm sick. 

Also, my foot problems have been worse lately. For any one who hasn't been around me when I'm curled up in a screaming ball of agony, I get those weird cramp/charlie horses where the muscles lock up and tense to the point where at least one toe will curl in and I can't get the muscle to release completely for an hour or more. 

Anyone have any suggestions, because I am fresh out. I've tried keeping my feet cool (no socks), I've tried keeping my feet warm (one or more pairs of socks), and I've tried diet. Nothing seems to be working.

Well, I'm off to putter with my sewing and look for something stupid and mindless to watch.

i was gonna say something that had nothing to do with this post really...but then i read the foot thing, and i had to say, my foot used to do that! and it stopped and hasn't done it in a while and i've no idea why...which sucks, cause if i knew why it stopped, then maybe i could help you :/

I've had this foot thing going on since high school, probably about when I quit dancing, which could explain why it does it.

sanzo/goku is something like 36?

Yah, LJ's apparently screwing up notifications. I seem to be getting mine, but I check LJ itself rather than rely on the notifications.

Sanzou = 3
Goku = 9
Hakkai = 8
Gojyo = 5

Normally Goku would have been 5, but fandom seems to have declared Gojyo gets the 5. Problem is that both Goku and Gojyo's names start with the exact same kanji, so people decided to use the ku instead for Goku's number.

Though, I think Hakkai's number comes more from a joke he makes in one of the flashbacks. Goku yells his name eight times to prove to Gojyo he can remember it, Hakkai (ever the teacher) asks Sanzou how many times Goku said 'Hakkai'. The answer from Sanzou is 'hakkai', eight times.

so the pairing i like would be 39? or 93? depending on who's on top...as usual?

so far i dislike when goku cries, cause it makes me sad. and i love when he gets all happy about fighting. and i live for the moment when sanzo gets hurt so that i can see goku go nutty over it -grin-

::nod:: The mini arc where they show how all four met and how Cho Gonou becomes Cho Hakkai. I love the end where they convince Sanzou to go out to eat and he makes the comment that he wouldn't be caught dead traveling with them. ::snicker::

Actually Goku losing it and going nuts when Sanzou gets hurt only happens the once. The next time he does it on purpose, and the most recent (in the manga) was also done on purpose, but without Goku's permission/knowledge. Another sign of Goku's attempting to be stronger for Sanzou's sake, he understands that becoming Seitan Taisei puts Sanzou at risk. Then the one time in the last part of the first Saiyuki anime was also done without Goku's consent.

aww, darn. well yeah, 2nd time he chose to go seitan on us. but i still severely enjoyed that it was for sanzo's sake.

does sanzo ever show a sexual interest in anyone? or has he in the past and we find out?
i've heard he comes across as fairly sexless...which actually kinda makes me happy...heheh, leaves more room for him and goku as far as i'm concerned.

Hee, second season of Saiyuki (all the stuff with Homura) is crazy stuff. You'll enjoy it. ^___^

Sanzou shows no sexual interest. As a matter of fact I think it can be traced back to the fact that in the Burial flahsback chapters in the Reload manga you see at least one time where he is nearly raped as a kid. So yeah, Sanzou comes off as almost asexual.

aha! well, he was a beautiful child, as seen in the bit where he flashed back to the guy he gave the beads to.

heh, heero came off as asexual too...i think? and we know how that turns out...in fic, heheh ^^

If Homura showed up then you are on season 2. The first Saiyuki series is long enough to split into two seasons.

mwhahaha! poor guy, in the anime he's fairly sexless...well, except for the relena stuff...which wasn't really ever sexual? hmm, then again, my view might be skewed when it comes to heero...

ah, this helps me then. since it was confusing me a bit, as it surely seemed i'd entered a 2nd season, yet netflix said nay.

hehe, i'm just so used to the idea of heero and duo together...
even after endless waltz, i never got the feeling relena was a part of heero's picture...
but, since i lean so heavily towards 1x2x1, i sometimes forget it had as much, if not more of a possibility than heero and duo being together...

hmmm, ok, i have an idea, but without watching the rest of the series first, i've no idea if it's a feasable idea, or if it's been done before...

but, well, i just recently(see yesterday) watched the ep in which it is explained more fully that goku was born of the earth...not born of god or human or demon...
which gave me an idea...

if goku was born of the earth, the earth created him, therefore the world is his mother/father...right?

so...goku IS humanity...er, or humanity's true god...
right down to what we as humanity are...hungry, tired, happy...
the base instincts of a child...

i dunno, does this make any sense?

hmmm, yet he also turns into a demon...can he become a god as well? then it would seem he'd contain all 3 species...

Yep, that does make sense.

And actually Minekura did some fairly recently with Goku's connection to the earth. Goku was nearly killed by an unseen foe, and the limiter was removed by Hakkai and Gojyo in a last ditch effort to save his life (Goku was literally bleeding out). Seitan Taisei then used the energy from the earth to heal himself. What's interesting is that each time Goku uses that energy to heal himself he triggers a natural phenomenon, rain, wind, earthquakes and the like.

After that, some youkai also mentioned that they were able to control the effects of the minus wave and be 'reborn' and now their are their real selves. Which makes Goku ponder if what he actually is.

So not everything has been answered yet as to what Goku is/could be.

ah, yeah, it would make sense that, that which created him could heal him. even the triggering of a natural phenom fits with that...since it's the butterflies wings...something moves to heal him, something must move to counterweight it...

what's the minus wave? i've seen it mentioned a few times now...oh! is it the thing that made the demons go batty and combative?

hmmm, i think goku is what the earth created for a god...instead of the ones already there...

it's like, most animes say how the demons are way older a species than humans...and the gods are the eldest...but, what of the earth(whatever planet) itself? sometimes it's formed by the gods, sometimes it forms the gods...hmm, things to ponder ^_^'

I feel your pain! I get foot cramps like that from time to time... usually when I'm not drinking enough water or getting enough potassium. But sometimes it's just from walking or standing too much in non-supportive shoes. And occasionally, it's just random. -_-;;

Mine seems to be random. I'll have been home for hours, and just as I'm getting in bed my feet will cramp and it'll be an hour before I can get to sleep.

I will ponder the water and potassium thing though. I doubt it's water, but potassium is a possiblity.

went to look it up, since i had no idea what it might be about. sounds...depressing, heh.
though! weird thing, it said some part of the movie was filmed here in asheville. tempting to see it just for that. ^^
