meh, stitching stuffs, and games

Blah, blah. No energy, no drive, and yet, I'm not sleepy. Damn.

I finally got the go ahead on a new program/group I wanted to start at work. One of my co-workers and I brainstormed a kid's version of stitch 'n' bitch. We got the green on it this afternoon, the first meeting 'round the end of February. It's called Crafty Kids and is for anyone in 4th grade or up, and the kids have to bring in whatever craft project that they're working on. We'll be there to provide help and some instruction for kids trying anything new. This makes two groups I've started, now we'll see if this little thing is as successful as the anime club.

Now I'm debating between plopping down and stitching while I watch LotR, extended versions (pets shiny new DVDs), OR play KH2 for an hour or so and then stitch while watching part of LotR before passing out. Of course in the passing out I'll have forgotten to put the sewing needle away and spend the entire night in the needle somewhere under me, yet somehow managing NOT to stab myself to death. Don't ask me how I do it, I just do.

Crafty Kids sounds cool. Too few people make things by hand any more. I'd like to see that change. Good luck with it!

Thanks! I'm really looking forward to this. I've been overhearing snippets of conversations as kids walk past my desk, and a couple of them have been talking about working on knitting projects, so with any luck I'll get decent turnout in February. ^___^
