I think I need to return that iron
Nov. 23rd, 2006 11:53 pmOne, the steam function doesn't work, and two, it has given me bad ironing-fu.
Before everyone can over for thanksgiving lunch, I was ironing some of the placemats as the damn things wrinkled in the dryer. -_-
When I finally finished, I was trying to check the temp on the bottom to see if it was too hot to put on the breakfast table. Well, apparently in checking, I tipped the thing and got practically boiling water all over my hand.
Fortunately (or unfortunately) I managed not to scream, or swear, or put up a fuss. This is now the second burn I've gotten with this iron, and that one hasn't even totally healed yet. This new burn wasn't too bad, hurt something fierce all through dinner. Now the two knuckles that got the worst of it are a bit swollen and possibly starting to blister. F*ck. Sleeping tonight will be a complete pain.
I think I may take some preemptive advil and crash.
