Well, good news. The apple pie passed the grandfather test. With requests to make another. And he's an apple pie snob. ^_^;;

I've been struck with the urge to relearn to crafts that I've long since forgotten how to do. I asked my mom to teach me again how to knit and how to put together a quilt. The knitting I'm tempted to relearn, because we've been talking at work about putting together a tween/teen version of stitch and bitch.

In the meantime though I'll continue working on my cross stitch. After I find a pair of socks without holes though. My toes are cold.

Isn't it funny how we stitchers will spend hours on projects... yet we balk at reattaching buttons or sewing up the holes in our clothing? For me, the cross-stitch always wins over regular sewing -- the latter is much more likely to make me curse and flail. Very strange. ^^;;

I spend 4 hours today alone crashed in front of the TV listening to Saiyuki while I puttered with my cross stitch.

Fixing holes in socks is another matter entirely, that make me curse and flail big time. I can't make it two wears on a pair of socks before the holes start forming. >_
