Here's a little cosplay update for those following. ^__^ I got quite a bit done this weekend. I still have some major work and gluing to do, but this is great progress.


Sanzou costume:

-Chest armor in progress. All the plates are tied to the frame and ready for gluing.
-Chest armor glued to the frame. And let me say that the epoxy is awesome, but a bitch to work with. I still have to secure the plates and cut the ends of the frame, but definately shaping up.

Sai costume:
-Last year's nasty wig. Which is now in the trash. Ha!
-A pile of loose wig hair, already glued to the inside of the hat band.
-Completed wig and hat. Thanks for the idea to work with the loose hair V. A complete mess (wish I had pictures of me with the hair wrapped around me while I tacked it in), but the better option than going with a wig I didn't like. The hair will stay in the rubber bands until the con to prevent tangling.

Sai is the hyper and rather manic ghost from Hikaru no Go. I've played Sai twice I think already. Last year was fun because HnG was running in the english language Shonen Jump. I got tackled so many times. ::snicker::

Sanzou should be fun. I've got the fake cigarettes, fan for beating people upside the head and everything. And last year I got so in playing Roy, Sanzou shouldn't be too far of a jump, just a little more pissy and more of a hair trigger temper.

Aww, the cosplay looks great. I'm especially impressed with Sanzo's armor although I have to ask and I've been wondering for awhile, which con is this for? oO; You probably said it and I didn't catch it. XD;

Thanks. ^__^ The armor's about at the halfway mark. A little more glue tonight and then a coat of clear acrylic to keep the gold from rubbing off on everything around me.

Otakon. ^_^ I probably didn't say, I forget things like that. At least I know where I'm supposed to be. Maybe. ::grins::

LOL. No worries. I was just confused. I couldn't tell if it was Otakon or something like Yaoi-con later in the year. But the costume really does look great. Or what we've seen of it so far. *snugs* Congrats.

Thank you, thank you. Gotta keep my hands busy. I start causing trouble if I don't have something to read or do with my hands.

Heh, and after posting that, I spent all night using that nasty epoxy to glue down the plates.
