Tactics and FMA
Feb. 11th, 2005 09:53 pmHurray! My Tactics artbook finally showed up today. It's very pretty, I think I may have to try scanning some of the pictures. That is if my scanner is working properly again. ::glares at it::
I also picked up the FMA game for the PS2 the other day, "Broken Angel". It's not half bad. So far my only complaints are that I haven't heard any music from the show, and there's no option to switch to the Japanese voices. >_<
I am liking the dialog though. It's holding fairly true to the anime/manga. Al cracks me up, he's poking far more fun at Ed than I've ever seen. Best line so far: after Ed manages to derail and wreck the train they were on, Al comments to Armstrong that the wreck was an 'Ed-induced incident'. ::snicker::
It's not gonna blow anyone away as an RPG, it's really pretty standard as far as the set up. The alchemy system is pretty cool though. I was having a blast transmuting giant bombs and rolling them at the bad guys. The controls are a little different than I'm used to, I keep accidentally exiting the menu. ^_^;;;

Fortunately the game gives you enough in the intro to understand the very basics of the series.
