A sad lack of Loki fics

And what I've found doesn't help any.

A fair chuck of it is just downright blah. Sorry Loki-ficcers, but this is not good at all.

Complaint #1 - Loki and Mayura, romanically involved. o.O;;; Whether there's anything in the anime that would point to Loki/Mayura (I'm only on volume 3) I don't know. I know I didn't see anything in the two volumes of the Ragnarok chunk of the manga I picked up. Loki and Mayura play well off each other, but I can't see them falling in love and getting hitched. Nope.

Complaint #2 - Bad Japanese word usage. Really bad. Awful. Horrifying even. I don't recall Yamino ever calling Loki 'tousan'. When he does call him father he uses 'chichiue', and it's highly unlikely that he would suddenly switch to 'tousan'. It makes even my beginner brain hurt like hell. Plus other various hideous choices.

I may have more complaints later, but I'm tired now from pulling carpet staples out of the floor.


So I declare that the fandom needs more gen Loki fics. I'll even take Loki/Heimdall for the pure crack of it.

And I'm so very tempted to write my own Loki fic, but I have that GW one to finish. ::writhes::
