Pre-Vacation shopping. ^_^

So I caved and bought a digital camera. I had talked to my parents about borrowing one of theirs (they've got two for pete's sake), but that was no go. I was going to borrow my brother's, but I would have had to buy a memory card. Lazy-kun never bought one, and he got the camera better than a year ago.

So I bought this one.

The features all sound really good, and I'm already passingly familar with the EasyShare cameras. But this was a major selling point. If it doesn't come up right, it should be picture 9, of the fireworks. The 'Fireworks' mode makes me want to take up artsy photography again. But for that I would really need an SLR, mentally need anyway, but I can't afford one of those right now.

With any luck I'll get it on Tuesday.

Nice! Hopefully you'll be able to use it to take hanami pictures... though if the warm weather keeps up, the sakura may have come and gone by the time you get here. ;_; It's nice and chilly this weekend, but a few of the early-blooming varieties are already flowering. (In FEBRUARY. It's insane! -_-) Right now the tentative bloom date for Tokyo is March 19, so keep your fingers crossed.

::crosses fingers:: Please wait til the 19th to bloom silly trees. Even if I'm half asleep and just off the plane I am determined as hell to get pictures from hanami. It's one of those things I've always wanted to get the chance to see.

My boss was trying to talk me into doing a program showing pictures from my trip. I think I will for the kids in the anime club, they're so very excited about this trip.

BTW, any luck on the map front?

Congrats! Now you too can take pictures of completely random things all the time. XD We so need a new one... I think we've run our camera into the ground taking too many kitten pictures.

I use to be really good at taking pictures of random things. The best was the cows. I think I still have the prints of those around some where. 8x11 prints at that. ::snicker:: Photography class was great for making cheap photos.
