I just got my copy of this in the mail today, and I'm very glad I decided to keep up with the novels. This was the one I was waiting for, if only for the interaction between between Ed and Roy and the snarking they do back and forth. ::snicker::

My favorite part in this was when Ed and Al find Roy on the train in the very beginning flirting with a couple of ladies. After being ignored in favor of flirting, Ed gets it in his head to spoil his fun by calling Roy dad. And of course this comes back to haunt Ed. ::grins::

I rather like that Al had to let slip Ed hatred of being called short so that he and Roy could find Ed a little faster. And then Roy goes and abuses that knowledge. ^_^;;;

And then my favorite moment that just had be grinning like a loon toward the end.

"Hey, Colonel," said Edward, leaning forward from the
back seat until his chin was almost on Roy's shoulder.
"What?" Roy snapped. "Stop grinning like that. It
disturbs me."

I'm happy to say that this translation flows a little better than the first one. Some important details are correctly translated this time, in "Land of Sand" the translator incorrectly referred to only Ed's hand as being automail instead of the entire arm.
