Yay for more Naruto

Now I can watch the subs. Thanks V-chan, now I'll be busy for at least a week and a half. ::grin::

Love the voices. So much better than the dub. And I'm finding more seiyuu I know. Especially to my great shock hearing Haku's voice. Heee! It's the same seiyuu as Hisoka from YnM.

Love Iruka-sensei, and not *just* because he's voiced by my all time favorite seiyuu Seki Toshihiko. By episode 21 I'm seeing just where the KakaIru fans are coming from. If Iruka could make it through a normal conversation with Kakashi *without* blushing I would be shocked.

I couldn't make it through episode 19 last night without bawling. I'm such a wimp. I knew what was going to happen to Haku and Zabuza. I knew how the whole scene was going to play out. And considering the similarities to the dialog in the english manga (good for you viz, you didn't screw up nearly as badly as I originally thought) I knew what Zabuza was going to say to Naruto and Haku.

And I still cried.

I still cried for that bastard Zabuza and actually hope that he gets his wish in the end. Because it's obvious that Zabuza and Haku belong together, despite the fact that Zabuza is a monster of a man and Haku is a far more gentle and sweet boy.

And now for the Chuunin exam. Hee! Psycho boy Gaara!

EDIT: Totally forgot to mention how much more I love the opening and closing for first season than the American version. And not just the music. The opening focuses on Team 7, which is what the opening should be doing at this point. And of course feeding my Sasuke/Naruto (or the other way if you prefer) needs. ::snicker:: The whole scene with Sasuke pulling Naruto out of the river, ::snort:: Sasuke needs to keep his hands off his own hips, it makes him look girlier than he already looks.

And the closing is so sad, poor little child Naruto falling with no one to help him up. Gah. ::sniffle::

I can already tell that KakaIru would be my pairing of choice. I've seen such pretty doujinshi pics of KakaIru. The last time I let doujinshi determine my pairing, I became a Prince of Tennis fan (Tezuka x Fuji). ^_________^

::snicker:: Promise, I won't try to actively get you hooked on Naruto. Even if I think you would enjoy it.

It's a long series too, and still going. I got 149 episodes, and then there's the movies, and on.

And KakaIru is such a lovely pairing. ::goes back to reading "How to File Form 39-B" for more married jokes and Kakashi getting porny gifts from Iruka::

Tee hee...I'm glad to hear you are enjoying the subs...It sounds like you're flying through them!

I hope they are playing well on your TV. Here are a couple more things I forgot to mention about the discs:
*One disc is the Naruto movie...maybe 5 from the end on the spool.
*You've also got the following specials randomly interspersed: Jump Festa 2003, 2004, 2005 and the 1/2 hour Naruto movie special. The discs containing the extras are labled, so it shouldn't be hard to find.
*My personal touch: at some point, I decided to start including fanart on the discs I burned. I don't remember exactly which disc I began doing this, but if you see a piece of fanart appear right after the load menu, then there will be an additional piece after each episode.

Hummm...pairings...I always go for the weird ones. KakaIru is ok, but they don't really interact too much in the series. I've seen AMAZING doujinshi, which make me love it a little, and the are both total hotties, but I guess I need more angst in my love ;)

Here's my list:
YAOI - Gai/Kakashi, Sasuke/Itachi, Orochimaru/Kabuto, Gaara/Lee, Naruto/Neji, Itachi/Ikura.

Het - Shikamaru/Temari (sooo cute), Neji/Hinata, Orochimaru/Tsunade, Temari/Gaara, Temari/Kankuro, Ino/Chouji, Sakura/Naruto, Sakura/Lee, Tsunade/Naruto, Kiba/Hinata(or anybody...wolf boys need love...same goes for Shino). Sasuke gets no one in the het category 'cause, well...um...I mean, he IS a little too hung up on his brother.

We must talk more when you get to the current eps (which will be what, like two more days! You are brave!)

PS. Talk about crying...wait til you get to the Chouji ep. Even Seth was getting wobbly eyed!

Yep, flying right through them. ^_^ I did have some trouble with the first disc, couldn't get episode 1, 3 and 4 to play all the way through. They would crash out at about 9 minutes through. Thought it was my DVD player, but it turned out that a good scrubbing with rubbing alchohol cleared that right up.

I noticed the fanart toward the end of the Arc with Haku and Zabuza. Some very nice pieces. Thanks for throwing those in. ::grins:: And yay for movies and specials! I didn't notice them while I was handling the discs, but then again, I've been leaving them in the spindle. Otherwise, with my luck, the cat would knock them over. Heheheh.

I found some quality smut KakaIru fics. They certainly made for good reading.

Totally agree on Sasuke's little obession with his brother. Sheesh. Although with het pairings for Sasuke, I kinda like the idea of just pitching Team 7 in bed together. ^_^;;; But that doesn't really count as completely het. ^_~
