So overslept
Apr. 1st, 2007 05:37 pmStrangely enough I feel better after the trip home than I did after the flight to Tokyo. I overslept today, but that was normal. On my days off I'm lucky if I drag my ass out of bed before 10am. And I was up around 8:30 or so and relatively coherent, but decided a nap with the dog was called for.
I ran over to my aunt and uncle's house after lunch, Dad wanted to pick up a table saw from my uncle and I figured that was a good time to give my cousins the gifts I picked up for them. They really seemed to like them. ^_^ Yay! I done good, I was very worried about the gifts. Plus they liked getting the coins and 1000 yen bills I saved, the two were talking about taking them into school to show off.
I'm starting to dig through the insane number of CDs I dragged home. I do believe Abingdon Boys School is now on the list of my favorite bands. I snagged the single for Innocent Sorrow from D. Grey-man, which I like enough to buy the disc, but it's the second track on the single that I really like. I'm gonna have to keep an eye out for their full album. ::grins::
I'm rather glad I didn't spend all the money I saved up for the trip. Turns out the car is overheating when it's idling in dead stopped traffic. I talked to the guys at the dealership, they said that's normal on the older model Saturns and as long as it doesn't go over 3/4 on the gauge or hit the red it should be fine, but they would be happy to look into it for me while they do the HUGE tune up I've been putting off for the last like 10,000 miles. Now I just have to save up the money for the new exhaust.

Date: 2007-04-01 11:44 pm (UTC)It took me forever to figure out it was him, too. It was driving me nuts, how familiar the vocals sounded despite the fact that I didn't recognize the band name. I think I finally figured it out when I pulled up the CDJapan page for Innocent Sorrow and saw him listed as the lyricist. It just wasn't a logical connection, given his usual style.
